Ready, Get Set...!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is about to begin! In five hours it will be November, and the long, hard journey will begin. Bring it on!

I doubled the NaNoWriMo goal to 100,000 words, which means I'll have to type over 3,333 words a day. That's about 5 and a half pages a day! The last time I tried something like that, I went insane. See, I got this book called Book in a Month, and I decided to do just that--write a book in a month. The reason I went insane was because I was trying to write six perfect pages a day. I also wanted to follow the plot exactly, and grew frustrated when the plot veered off to the north and then the east (figuratively speaking).

Now I'm about to embark on such a journey again. I am really, really, really, REALLY excited! More on it tomorrow, 3,333 words from now.

Introduction:

When you read the title of this blog, you probably thought I was a horrible person. In fact, I am not. By killing trees, I mean using up paper for awesome things. Things like novels, comics, paintings, sketches, and etc. If the title makes you uncomfortable, too bad. Go whine in your journal, or whatever. Sadly, journals use up paper and, therefore, trees.

If you're new to this blog, there are a few things you need to know. First, the writers of this blog kill lots of trees (no WAY!). If you're an environmentalist and this fact makes your heart throb, stop wasting your time. Go hug a tree. In the meantime, I'll be writing....

Other than that, the only thing you need to know is that this blog is for the writers of the blog. Sure, you can read it, but this is a creative log (no pun intended) for us. We need to feel accomplished, and that feeling comes from lots of bragging on this blog. So there.

Now that you are hopefully satisfied, I can do something useful. Like, I dunno, kill more trees.
